The current training courses being offered by the County's training team are all bookable online at the Cambridgeshire Scouts website via the Members Resources tab or by the following link: Adult Training Courses.
As you will be aware, all of the adult modular training scheme in the County are now free of charge to leaders and adult supporters and access to them has just been made easier by the new online booking system - give it a go and book up to complete your training. The booking of courses becomes even easier if you have already logged in to the website as it transfers your information directly in to the booking form. Normally the courses have a cut off date of 2 weeks before they are due to run so that the joining in instructions etc can be sent out and some are number limited.
New Courses planned are both multi-module weekends and manager modules, these are now bookable online! Adult Training Courses
If the training course module that you require is not shown on the current list then please contact your Local Training Manager who will be pleased to arrange the delivery of the module in your locality (may be subject to a minimum number of participants).
Do you want to join the training team as a presenter or a facilitator, then please contact Brian Richmond.
If your current first aid certificate is not out of date (still within 3 years of first being issued) then you can undertake a 2hr refresher course which will give you a current First Response qualification for another 3 years, it is recommended that the next course that you undertake is a full course. These 2 hour courses can be arranged via your Local Training Manager again, all we need is a group of 8 or more to make it happen. For more details contact Brian Richmond or your Local Training Manager.
Ongoing Safety Training is soon to be delivered on an e-learning basis or again via a small course if we have more than 8 people requiring it. For the latest information on the ongoing Safety Training then visit Scouts.Org.Uk via the link Safety Training Information. Ongoing Safety Training will soon become a mandatory part of any role review, alongside Safegaurding Training and a current First Aid Certificate.
