Introduction to Scout Network

Are you ready to join the Network adventure?

Scout Network is one of the biggest secrets in Cambridgeshire Scouts and over the next couple of months there are exciting plan to establish the section all around the county.

Scout Network is the 5th and final stage in the youth programme and aimed at 18-25 year olds.

In recent weeks we have started to work closely with Explorer Scout Units and 18-25 year olds in a number of locations to start putting together a regular programme of activities. Network is organised into five zones, the locations are just a guide so if you find it easier or just want to get involved somewhere different to where you normally volunteer there is nothing stopping you.

The five zones are

    East - Ely and Newmarket
    North West - Peterborough
    North East - Fenland
South - Cambridge and Crafts Hill
    West - Hinchingbrooke and Cromwell

In each zone we are either relaunching the existing network, or launching/relaunching network in that area. From the end of August there is an activity every 4/6 weeks in each zone, and the majority of activities are also open to older Explorer Scouts. All the activities are in the county diary on the website.

By the end of the year we are hoping to have Network active in each of the locations and planning for the longer term, and some exciting ideas are already coming forward.
