Are you an Archer Leader?

As of the 1st January 2016 Archery falls under the Adventurous Activity Permit Scheme (AAPS) and as such all Archery Leaders and Archery Supervisor's need to have an AAPS permit to continue to provide this activity to Scouting members from the 1st. Therefore we are in the process to transfer those that currently either hold an Archery GB or equivalent certificate to the AAPS. To enable your current qualification to be transferred Archery Leaders need to complete an APPS Application Form and submit it to your District Commissioner for completion. We are ideally looking for all transition applications to be made before the end of October 2015 so that come the 1st January 2016 we are in a position to enable Archery as an activity to continue within Scouting rules.

For those Archery Leaders that either have an expired Archery GB certificate or wish to apply for a higher leadership/supervisory permit then an AAPS Application Form still needs to be filled in but submitted to a County Archery Assessor for technical competence and Scouting rules assessment before being forwarded to their District Commissioner for completion.
