Over 120 Beavers from all over Cromwell District descended on Copley Scouting Centre in St Ives to celebrate Beaver Scout's 30th Birthday.
Parents and carers joined their Beaver Scouts in exploring the site and choosing which of the many fun activities they wanted to sample, suchas launching their own bottle rockets, cooking sausages on fires, archery, woggle making and pioneering.
At each activity Beavers collected a bead to put on their very own leather bracelet. Each bead equals part of a badge completed meaning after today they were well on their way to earning new badges to put on their uniform.
Beavers from around the district were given the opportunity to design the Cromwell Badge to celebrate the Beaver's 30th Birthday. Three winners were chosen by independent judges and aspects of all three of their designs were incorporated into the final one which will be worn by Beavers from all around the district throughout this summer. Well done to Harry from 1st Warboys, Elizabeth from Ramsey and Toby from 1st Warboys for their winning designs.
After activities were completed, all the Beavers joined together around the campfire to sing their favourite campfire songs before leaving the site with big smiles on their faces and a lot more tired than they were when they arrived!
